It’s that time- Nature Fact Friday! Today we are talking about the Common Garter Snake- you may have seen these in your backyard before. We picked this snake because the UNL Herpetology club brought a Garter Snake to our Nature Night this week!🐍🦎


Did you know that these snakes usually begin hibernating in October? But they do come out for sunny days! These snakes are typically 22-32 inches long. Have you ever seen one in the wild?
